About the department

Contract and Local Manufacturing (CLM) is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation and responsible for all Novo Nordisk contracts and licence manufacturing of semi-finished and finished drug products to local and global markets. CLM comprises around 300 employees with approximately 50 based in Denmark, 130 in Kaluga, Russia, and 120 in Koriyama Japan. Our main office is located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The primary role of CLM is to select, monitor and control the production handled by Contract Manufacturing Organisations/CMOs in countries like India, Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, and Central Europe.



The job

As Specialist in CLM you will be responsible for maintaining the strategy for the CMO including short, mid and long term improvement plans. You will be overseeing the production at the CMO to initiate projects and activities to meet Novo Nordisk requirements regarding compliance and deliveries.



The activities are primarily located in Germany, France, Belgium, India, Bangladesh, Algeria and Denmark. You will join a dedicated team of highly skilled colleagues with deep insights into and experience within aseptic production. Together you oversee the production in our CMOs and you secure that solid support agreements are made with Novo Nordisk expert teams in the Manufacturing Development department.

An important part of your job will be to develop and continuously improve the way we work within the department and with the CMOs, with the aim of securing high quality, stable, and timely delivery to our customers. You will mentor and coach the CMO Project- and Operational Managers and provide advice regarding process knowledge and technical equipment to Novo Nordisk production.



For you to succeed in this job it is crucial that you have strong stakeholder management skills as well as an ability to understand the political environment and international challenges linked to the CMOs.



Qualifications

You hold an academic degree within e.g. Pharmacy, Engineering or similar. Ideally your theoretical background is combined with a thorough understanding of and experience with the pharmaceutical business and manufacturing of pharmaceutical finished goods, preferably within insulin production or from a manufacturing Development function.



As a person you are good at building trust with stakeholders and you are able to establish a strong network internally in Novo Nordisk as well as with our external partners. You have an analytical mind-set with the ability to work structured with a high degree of detail orientation.



Preferably you have experience from an international environment, and you accept travelling to the countries as an integral part of the job Furthermore, you are a strong communicator with the ability to work with people from different professions and cultures, and you have a high proficiency in English.
