Childcare Practitioner
Square One is looking for a Childcare Practitioner qualified to level 7 or 8 to work in our Childcare Facility. This is a full time role in a Kilkenny's longest established childcare facility.

We require a practitioner capable of leading a pre-school room of 22 children with an assistant. This will require periodic update of the curriculum and following recognised guidance for care of children and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

- To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children.
- Actively engage the children in developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the potential development of each child.
- Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
- To communicate effectively with children, parents and staff alike.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice
- Hold high standards for all children and encourage them to achieve their full potential
- Minimum Fetac / QQI level 7 in childcare or a recognised degree in early childhood education. Or a masters in early years 0-6 years. Or a teaching degree in early years 0-6 yrs
- Practical experience in a childcare setting
- A team player, Flexibility, Good English
