We are seeking a passionate Senior Data Scientist who is deeply committed to leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive strategic innovation.

You will join the dynamic Data & Analytics department, a vibrant community of over 50 professionals passionate about driving the data agenda at BESTSELLER. Embedded in a product team of ten top-tier professionals, you will utilize data as a strategic asset to elevate customer experiences, optimize operational efficiency, and drive performance growth – all while upholding the highest technical standards and user satisfaction.

YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Senior Data Scientist in the Data & Analytics department, you will play a pivotal role in developing AI-driven systems and strategies that shape our business operations and future growth. You will work closely with a team of data scientists, engineers, and developers to design and create AI-driven applications to deliver business value. This role places you at the heart of our APPRETIO platform – our commitment to revolutionizing merchandising through advanced, data-driven solutions.

YOUR IMPACT
In your capacity as a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

  • Develop and implement data science and AI solutions within a top delivery team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of initiatives and effective resolution of technical challenges.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art tools such as Python, Pytorch, Databricks, MLFlow, Snowflake,  Kubernetes, and Plotly Dash to build and sustain sophisticated applications.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and developers to deliver integrated solutions that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
  • Monitor, debug, and optimize machine learning models and applications to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE 
You are a dynamic, forward-thinking individual, driven by challenges and committed to using data intelligently. You possess most of the following qualifications:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in Python and a deep interest in machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • A solid foundation in the statistical and algorithmic aspects of machine learning.
  • Demonstrated success in deploying AI solutions in production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at presenting complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments and with a proactive, solution-focused approach to tasks.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Nice to have

The following qualifications would also be an advantage:

  • Proficiency in Plotly Dash, cloud computing services (GCP, AWS, Azure), and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and developing/maintaining production-grade web applications.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
