Backend Developer

The IT Factory is about to launch its very first office in Portugal and you have the chance to join us on our journey to a market leading company. We are looking for a proactive and motivated Backend Developer.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You will:

• develop backends for Web and Mobile Applications
• easily understand complex business process logics and transform those into efficient development code
• follow and define coding guidelines and standards
• manage code, builds and issue tracking with open source tools (Git, Gradle, JIRA, etc.)
• write technical concepts out of customer requirements
• quickly draft technical prototypes
• develop, implement, test and deliver in an agile and fast manner
• estimate work and deliver on time
• track and communicate customer project progress, internally and externally
• take responsibility for your code quality

Knowledge & Skills

You:

• have a deep analytical way of thinking

• want to develop yourself constantly
• are a “wo/man of word”, reliable and engaged
• strive for efficiency, automation and reusable components
• are familiar with agile and devops
• work goal- and solution-oriented, structured and organized
• are fluent in English, oral and written

Experience Level

• Experienced with state-of-the-art backend languages, like for example: JavaScript, C++, .NET, Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React or other
• Knowledge in web server technologies (e.g. Apache) and databases (SQL, No-SQL)
• Familiar with cloud computing and server systems
• Know-how in hybrid technologies helpful (e.g. Ionic, Xamarin)

Graduation

• Bachelor or master degree in computer science, software engineering, physics or alike
• Certificates are beneficial
