Job offer description

Your responsibilities:

  • Drafting, developing and implementing automated production lines
  • Gathering analyses and merging information relating to technical specifications for IEE’s products, relevant technical equipment on the market, and common technical methods etc. to ensure IEE maintains and improves its technical and quality market leadership
  • Tracking equipment requests up to the delivery to internal customers within the given timeline
  • Ensuring that all activities contribute to the general goals of reducing scrap, mitigating health and safety risks for operators, reducing machine setup times, ensuring high availability of machines, and achieving the TOC performance indicators (TED etc.)
  • Performing machine acceptance tests at equipment suppliers’ premises or in-house
  • Providing input to, and supporting, P-FMEAs, quality-related production documentation (QP, CP), work instructions and other technical documentation
  • Releasing or recommending the release of machine and tooling equipment
  • Supporting prototype builds and ramp up of new products

Your profile:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering or mechanical engineering 
  • Technical finesse and experience with complex and automated machines or processes
    • skilled in automatic control engineering
    • experienced in the implementation and application of handling systems
  • A good understanding of mechanical construction and 2D/3D software
  • Relevant project management experience
  • A profound knowledge of Six Sigma is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools. Database, SAP, AutoCAD (or equivalent), Minitab, SolidWorks and/or VBA are considered an asset
  • The ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory, French is considered an asset
