As Assistant Reservations Manager you are responsible to promote a professional image with effective communication on all reservation related matters to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

The Assistant Reservations Manager would be responsible for the management of all reservation opportunities. They will manage and provide training and work assignments to the Reservations team. Actively up-sell to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieve team revenue and KPI goals. Understands the overall market, economic trends, supply and demand. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a degree in the hospitality field with previous experience within the Reservation Department of a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential. Computer literacy and previous experience with Guestline Reslynx or a similar PMS is required.

Duties to include:

  • Manage and respond to incoming reservations sales opportunities for the property
  • Assists with monitoring accuracy of reservation creation within systems
  • Ensure all administration procedures are maintained to hotel standards
  • Uses sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively
  • Assists in monitoring group reservation forecast data
  • Coordinate rooming lists for groups and blocks
  • Tracks no-show reservations and processes charges as needed
  • Checks daily arrivals to ensure all necessary billing instructions are applied to reservations
  • Manages wait list and prioritizes order of wait list contacts to be made
  • Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the brand.
  • Handles guest complaints and disputes

Position:

This is a full time position which will include Saturday cover where needed. The salary for this position will depend on experience.
