Assembly technicians and General operators.
Purpose of the role
Fireblock, the operator is responsible for working as part of the production team to manufacture performance metal doors/windows.
Ideal candidates will have some mechanical, production assembly, or construction experience. Excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude are required.
Applicants should demonstrate manual dexterity, attention to details, good communication skills, and teamwork.
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day production duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, work instructions and SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness of their work area.
- Report any equipment failures or issues to Operations/Production Manager in a timely manner.
- Complete production and quality related documentation.
- Attend and participate in safety and quality training as required.
- Protect the facility, equipment and personal protective equipment from damage and misuse at all times.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by Operations/Production Manager
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system including adhering to appropriate policies and procedures.

Experience:
- Prior proven experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be provided
- Experience as a forklift driver is an advantage
- Safety qualifications, 6-Sigma or Continuous Improvement knowledge is an advantage
- Due to the nature of the role, a general level of fitness i.e. fit for manual work is required
