Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is a subsidiary of Arla Foods and right now we are growing our regulatory affairs team to deliver against our ambitious plans at our headquarters in Aarhus.

The role

Your overall objective is to work with our experts to succeed regulatory approvals and organic certificated according to our overall AFI strategi. Your role is to work with our commercial department and manufacturing sites to make sure we are compliant with production of infant nutrition. It will be your job to make sure all products have market access and fulfil the legal requirements and registrations. This covers tasks such writing dossiers for registration of our products, advising on and interpreting  standards and regulations covering production infant formula , microbiology, contaminants and ingredients. You'll need to have a very proactive approach to regulatory affairs and always be one step ahead in order to pave the way for our products.

You should be able to deal with issues in relation to the interpretation of current legislation on food and products standards, the main markets of interest where you'll be interpreting legislation is Asia, in particular China and EU.

You will be responsible for working collaboratively across AFI with both the production site, QEHS, commercial, customers and authorities, building relationships with priority stakeholders and governmental agencies, seeking to develop and execute collaborative initiatives with them that advance AFI’s position within food (Infant formula) and food quality.

The profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, independent and detail-oriented senior regulatory affairs professional. You have at least 5-8 years’ experience working in a regulatory affairs department, preferrable working with dairy ingredients or Infant formulas (in particular China IMF experience). You have knowledge about organic regulations and certifications (EU and/or China). and/or food technology. It will be an advantage if you can read and write Chinese, since China is a big part of the focus in this job.

Either way, you have a passion for, and a thorough understanding of dairy and child nutrition with a passion for learning more about our whey protein based products.

You have solid business understanding, a global mindset and the capabilities to take the regulatory agenda to the next level. And you know that clear and concise communication is an important key to success. This puts heavy demands on your structured and meticulous working methods and text flair.

You are fluent in English, both in speak and writing. It is a plus if you also speak and read Mandarin, since you will be expected to engage with internal and external stakeholders around the world.
