Agreement Management, Energy Services is accountable for supporting and enabling the Agreement Management business in the regions to deliver world-class lifecycle solutions to our Customers. We are a small, powerful team of professionals working in close cooperation with colleagues all over the world.



We are looking for an Analytics Expert to join our team. If you have a solid foundation in data analytics, and the attitude to learn new business domains and technologies, this position is for you. We offer a unique opportunity to join a team of highly skilled professionals to take part in shaping the future of the global energy market. In your role, you will be working closely with our internal stakeholders globally and our internal data science team.



Your tasks will be to provide insights, develop solutions and find opportunities to improve plant performance and related business operations. The business areas you will be working on will be related to performance-based agreements, decarbonisation services and paving the path towards autonomous plants.



In addition to having the needed technical skills, we also expect you to be self-driven, proactive, and committed team player with customer focus and service mindset.

Location:



Location is within European Time zone, in proximity to a Wärtsilä office.



In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Analysis and modelling for improving performance of power plants (both existing and new) and find value adding synergies
  • Provide analytics and insights to support agreement management operations
  • Modelling and support for performance optimisations of different kind of assets in microgrids of decarbonisation services
  • Support for developing agreement delivery concepts, -models, -tools development and -processes
  • Act as a contact to centralised technology teams to translate business requirements into digital products
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing between internal stakeholders around data analytics

     

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of statistics, applied analytics and machine learning methods
  • Experience with Python and its data analytics packages (e.g. Pandas & scikit-learn)
  • Experience with visual analytics and presenting analysis results
  • Knowledge of modern software development tools and practices (e.g. git, DevOps)
  • Knowledge SQL, data modelling and database implementation
  • Knowledge of cloud computing such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
  • Customer orientation
  • Fluent in marketing and selling ideas and solutions to stakeholders
  • Able to think out-of-the-box and challenge conventional ways of working
  • Analytical mindset to process performance-, operational- and maintenance data
  • Strategic mindset seeing the big picture and plan for the future
  • Very good in documentation and presentation skills
  • Good collaboration and change management skills
  • Proactive, development-minded, independent, and goal-focused attitude to work
  • Knowledge of performance and operational support is seen as an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Physics or Engineering
