
Account Associate – Air Travel Technology (German Speaker)

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As an Account Associate, you will play a key supporting role in growing SITA’s footprint by identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities with Tier 4 and 5 aviation industry customers. You will manage a portfolio of up to 10 accounts across all SITA solutions and service portfolios, contributing to sustainable and profitable growth as part of our dynamic European commercial team.
Reporting to the Sales VP, you will collaborate with a virtual account team and cross-functional partners to deliver tailored solutions to clients, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure that SITA becomes a trusted advisor in their digital transformation journey.

Please note that this role is open to candidates already based in Frankfurt, Germany, who are eligible to work in the hiring location without visa sponsorship or a work permit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive all sales activities aligned with short- and long-term goals; manage deal cycles end to end
- Own and grow a portfolio of Tier 4 and 5 customers, focusing on customer retention, satisfaction, and pipeline growth.
- Manage and build relationships with clients by understanding each customer’s business challenges and aligning SITA’s solutions to meet their needs.
- Build sales pipeline for future growth with close collaboration with Marketing for demand generation ensuring qualified marketing leads are converted to sales accepted leads for pipeline growth; and ensuring sales forecasts are accurate and up-to-date
- Build and nurture client relationships, establishing trust and demonstrating deep knowledge of aviation and technology trends.
- Collaborate across teams (technical, delivery, and support) to ensure smooth onboarding and customer success.
- Ensure all customer requests are dealt with and services delivered as per agreed schedule
- Stay ahead of industry shifts, sharing market insights internally and with clients to identify emerging opportunities.
- Maintain visibility of account performance across commercial and delivery aspects, resolving issues in partnership with internal teams.
BOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or account management (aviation or IT sector a plus)
- Experienced in executing account development plans and pipeline management
- You’re creative, tech-savvy, and excited to grow your career in IT and aviation business
- You’re eager to learn, grow, and take initiative in a dynamic sales environment
- You understand B2B SaaS and how to position solutions for business impact
- You’re a strong communicator who enjoys solving problems and working with customers
- You have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and building strong customer relationships.
- You speak German at a native or near-native level and have excellent communication skills in both German and English
- Experience in the aviation industry or background in aviation engineering
- Exposure to IT, cloud, or software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales environments
- Familiarity with customer success or solution-selling approaches
