Ohmatex – smart textile technology

Ohmatex Ohmatex is a leading expert in the integration of microelectronics into textile and wearable devices. Ohmatex currently has a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a garment with an NIRS (Near Infra-Red) sensor to monitor leg muscle oxygenation during astronaut training. In 2012 Ohmatex developed a medical compression stocking that measures changes in leg volume for patients suffering from edema (fluid retention) of the lower limbs. 

The company has participated in several FP7 projects including Safe@Sea and PlaceIT and MyWear.  We are currently participating in PowerWeave and on the EuroStar project emBrace.

Ohmatex has developed unique textile cabling and connectors which supply conductivty and connectivity for smart textile garments.
