Created in 1935 as Pensão Meira by the hand of Simão Meira and Felisbela Brito, Hotel Meira is a family-run, 4-star pet friendly hotel in Vila Praia de Âncora - Northern Portugal.
Benefiting from a unique location, in a symbiosis between sea, countryside and mountain, nature makes it the ideal ally for resting days, or for outdoor adventures. 2 minutes from the beach, 30 minutes by car from Spain and 55 minutes from Vigo airport and Porto airport.
It has 52 rooms fully equipped with private bathroom, Bar, Outdoor Swimming Pool, SPA, Meeting Rooms, Space for Events and Private Parking. It also offers transfer services to and from the airport, bicycle rental and outdoor programs. Located on the Portuguese Coastal Way (160 km from Santiago de Compostela), the Hotel has special conditions for pilgrims. At Hotel Meira, four-legged friends are also very welcome.
The Hotel remains in the Meira Family to this day, distinguishing itself by the family atmosphere and the personalization of the service provided, characteristics recurrently highlighted by its guests. In celebration of the 80th. Anniversario underwent renovation works on the façade, common areas and rooms, modernizing it but maintaining the principle that has served as a basis for all these years: that of serving well.
