EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme (EURES TMS)

Are you...

• aged at least 18?
• a citizen of an EU country, Norway or Iceland?
• EU long term resident in an EU country, Norway or Iceland as defined in Directive 2003/109/EC applying for a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland?
• willing to relocate to a EU country, Norway or Iceland, other than yours, for a job, apprenticeship or a traineeship? 

If so, then EURES TMS could be the solution for you.

What's in it for you?

The EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme is a European Union job mobility action financed under the Employment and Social Innovation ("EaSI") strand of the ESF+ which is a European-level financing instrument managed directly by the European Commission. It helps EU citizens finding a job, apprenticeship or traineeship opportunity in another EU country, Norway or Iceland on one side, and employers finding qualified workforce, increasing intra EU mobility, matching candidates with hard to fill vacancies.

Through EURES TMS you can receive information, coaching, job search, matching and recruitment assistance. You may also be eligible for financial support for:

• a job interview (contribution towards travel and accommodation and subsistence costs)
• Relocation for you & your family   
• Language course 
• Recognition of diplomas/qualifications

Please be aware that your job-apprenticeship-traineeship offer must comply with several eligibility criteria, namely with the country labour legislation and duration of the contract:

• 6 months for jobs and apprenticeships
• 3 months for traineeships       

What qualifications do you need?

EURES TMS is open to candidates with different levels of education and/or work experience.

What about employers?

Are you...

• a SME based in an EU country, Norway or Iceland?
• looking to recruit candidates with a certain profile and cannot find them in your country?
• willing to hire workers, trainees or apprentices from EU countries, Norway or Iceland?
• offering a minimum 6-months contract (for jobs) or 3 months (for traineeships) compliant with national labour and social protection law?
• able to provide a training programme to newly recruited workers with the purpose to address skills shortages which can include 
  • Re-skilling and/or upskilling to improve the worker’s skills and competences required for the job
  • Soft-skills courses to better understand and integrate into the new company
  • Tailored language courses

If so, then EURES TMS could also be the solution for you. 

SMEs can receive financial contribution to the cost related to the training programme. Both candidates recruited through EURES TMS and existing SME workers in need of specialised training can actively participate in these training programmes.
