Fascinating for its history, authentic for its charm, Convento do Espinheiro Historic Hotel & Spa, was inaugurated in 2005 as the first 5-star hotel in the historical city of Évora, Portugal, resulting from the rehabilitation of a 15th century Convent.
More than just a stay, it will offer you an unforgettable experience, with all its comfort and elegance. Offering 90 rooms, you may choose to stay in the new and modernly decorated wing, or a convent room, with a more classic decoration.
The hotel offers 2 restaurants: Divinus, a gourmet restaurant where you may taste the genuine flavours of the Alentejo gastronomy and Olive, a more informal restaurant, located in the ancient kitchen used by the monks, offering delicious pizzas & pastas). The hotel features also a unique bar located close to the cloisters and a pool bar close to the beautiful outdoor pool, perfect for the warm Spring/Summer months. The convent’s ancient water deposit is today a beautiful facility dedicated to wine tasting sessions, which are held everyday around 5.30pm, in the company of our Sommelier.
For total relaxation, you may visit the Spa, which features 4 treatment rooms, an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, sauna and hamman, as well as a gym. On the SPA menu you will find a variety of massages and treatments based on local igredients such as olive-oil, lavander and rosemary.
The hotel also features a numerous meeting and banqueting rooms perfect for various types of corporate meetings and leisure events.
