The central tank farm consists of storage tanks and filling facilities for storing and filling flammable and water-polluting liquids as well as liquid waste. From the tank farm, the central supply of the production plants with solvents as well as the disposal of liquid waste is carried out. The tasks include carrying out and monitoring filling processes for tank and rail tank cars, preparing and carrying out sampling on tank and rail tank cars and from earth and standing containers, as well as sample analysis for waste solvents and separation according to quality characteristics.

 

Tasks

  • Carrying out and monitoring filling operations with tank and rail tank wagons as well as transfer operations with IBCs and drums
  • Monitoring and control of the facilities of the central tank farm via a control room
  • Transport with industrial trucks (driver's seat trucks, drawbar-guided trucks)
  • Preparation and execution of sampling from tank and rail tank wagons as well as from earth and standing tanks
  • Carrying out simple sample analysis for waste solvents as well as for internal transport of samples by car
  • Participation in the identification of causes of operational disturbances in the process and their elimination
  • Order processing in a data processing system (AMIS)

 

Requirements 

  • Completed vocational training as a chemical technician, alternatively as a chemical plant junior technician, but also warehouse workers with experience in the tank farm area
  • Work experience in logistics, technology or chemical engineering
  • Physical fitness for working on rail tank cars and tank trucks
  • Ability to drive industrial trucks and class B driving licence
  • Good written and spoken German
  • Good technical understanding and a high degree of independence
  • Organisational skills, good communication skills and enjoy working in a team
  • Communicative English skills desirable
  • Residence in Germany
