Software Manager
Center for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) and KT-Consortium, Technical University of Denmark have an opening for a position of software manager. The position will be in both centers.
The job
You will be responsible for design and development of software platforms that enables external partners to use thermodynamic/research models, other computational tools and unit operations developed as a part of CERE’s research as well as the ICAS software developed by KT-Consortium.
You will work independently towards applying new software engineering paradigms to the field of chemical engineering. It is required to have a working knowledge of .NET, WPF, Silverlight, XAML, XML, MATLAB, COM, MFC, C++, C#, and FORTRAN and have experience in how mixed programming language libraries interact. In addition, you will be responsible to conduct the workshops to demonstrate the applications of different in-house software.
Qualifications
You must have a M.Sc. or PhD in Chemical Engineering with an expert knowledge of chemical engineering thermodynamics, unit operations and a strong background in both chemical engineering and software development. Furthermore, you must have experience in how thermodynamic models can be included in commercial process simulators through e.g. a library that conforms to the CAPE-OPEN specification.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The position is limited to 31 December 2019. The weekly working time is 37.5 hours.
