Job offer description
As an (Senior) IT Developer at Melexis, you will work on Software Development Projects and Software Product Maintenance, mainly java based. More specifically, you will
- Accurately and clearly transform Epics and User Stories in working code and complete test plan.
- Effectively consult and liaise with product stakeholders and members of the IT team.
- Be responsible for creation of analysis, design, implementation (coding and documenting), testing and releasing of assigned user stories in the development team.
- Be responsible for product architecture of the assigned projects and products.
- Critically review and help improving the agile development processes of the development team.
- Coach team members and stakeholders in applying good software development practices.
- Evaluate, propose and introduce new technologies and practices in the software development teams.

Profile
- Bachelor or Master (or equivalent through experience) in a Computer Science related field
- More than 3 years of experience in small or medium sized IT projects
- Systems knowledge: Linux, Unix
- Languages: Java, notions of Perl (able to read). Knowledge of Scala, Clojure, Groovy, Jruby, Jython is a plus
- Effective communication skills in English
