For our D3 Nacelle & Hub Department we are currently looking for a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer. You will become part of a highly motivated team within a dynamic R&D environment with a strong focus on concept development of new components and systems as well as optimisation and improvement of the existing ones.

The nacelle and the hub are two of the major components in a wind turbine and they contain a high level of complexity due to all the sub-systems within.



As a Design Engineer you play a key role in scoping and developing new solutions and advancing our technology further.

 

What are my responsibilities?

  • Project involvement from concept phase to implementation
  • Development in 3D using NX, including advanced shapes and large assemblies
  • Design specification consisting of 2D drawings with GPS, purchase specifications, etc.
  • Part development in various materials like steel, aluminium and plastics
  • Balancing important requirements such as quality, cost, manufacturability, EHS and serviceability
  • Reviews, handling of learnings and production support

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a Bachelor or a Master in mechanical engineering
  • You are innovative and work in a structured, methodical and organised fashion
  • Your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable
  • You are proactive, and possess the ability to work both independently and in teams
  • You are supportive and have a helpful and service minded approach
  • You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
