DESCRIPTION:

The Implementation Engineer (IE) is to provide the engineering functions to implement UCC on site deployments for voice gateways. The role is based within the Shell Life Cycle Management team within our client.
Responsibilities:

Assist with technical elements for on site remedial actions
-
Review technical documents and implementation documents and provide input if necessary
-
request IP addresses and VLAN's to be implemented and firewalls to be opened
-
review orders and EOL technically prior to placement
-
Liaising with HP local site contacts for testing and remediation if needed
-
tests circuits with suppliers, test config for gateways
-
organize remediation after testing if required
-
Request and get approval for Commit to deploy from LCM teams
-
Raise technical change requests, for installs and migrations
-
Request LAN ports and liven up
-
pre-install meeting attendance and resolve issues from pre-install meeting
-
Support Rack and stack of equipment remotely and document implementation schedules
-
liaise with other 3rd parties to assist in migrations
-
completing technical and asset data bases as required
-
Support migrations and first day of operations
-
Providing support for on-site staging when needed
-
Determine remediation based on survey
-
Testing the hardware installs with NCR remotely
-
QA of all analogue, hard phone info
-
Support testing of mediation server (supporting H&AS when needed)
-
Organizing engineers from NCR and providing SoW for their install (Production of TID)
-
Updating management data bases
-
Providing technical details for support organization, drawings, design docs, configs, etc

Requesting DNS changes
-
Supporting the Project Implementation Manager with any technical queries

Manages all technical interfaces within the agreed stage gate delivery model and acts as a technical consultant to all parties.

Coordinates and oversees technical activities with Vendors, Customer, on site support, other bundle supplier, Telco providers, etc
Requirements:
-
Experience of delivering Telecom Projects and Network/Voice implementation - IPT, WAN & LAN
-
knowledge of traditional TDM Voice / telephony and IP telephony
-
Knowledge and experience of Cisco networking

knowledge and practical experience of working with telecommunications carriers: Circuit types, circuit interfaces, circuit problem

Good knowledge of the Telecommunication market

Microsoft Office Communicator Knowledge and experience
