Site Engineer - CBU
The Site Engineer will be reporting to the Construction Manager of the project.
Our new colleague in this position, will be participating in the project team for the completion of the construction project. This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate site personnel, equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress.
In general, the Site Engineer, will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assist in preparing the construction budget, the time schedule
- Contribute in drafting the project execution plan, method statements and quality plan.
- Collaborate with the respective team members, site superintendent and foremen.
- Coordinate and supervise construction works in accordance to the schedule and drawings.
- Prepare monthly subcontractor and supplier payment certifications and works acceptance.
- Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reporting
You will be a successful candidate for our opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- BSc. Degree in Architectural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Appropriate certifications and industry affiliations relevant to education and experience.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of practical on-site construction related experience which included direct supervision of specific trade subcontractors and project sections.
- Experience in support of the procurement/tender process including development/refinement of contract forms as well as a thorough understanding of the change management process.
- Hands-on experience with the coordination of design documents and trade specific shop drawings during construction.
- An individual who enjoys working in a team environment and understands how to keep team members focused on the project goals i.e. delivery, quality, health & safety, etc.
