We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed project schedules, managing resource allocation, and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. As a Planning Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project teams, monitor project progress, and proactively manage risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans using software like Primavera
- Create work breakdown structures (WBS) to define project deliverables and milestones.
- Set realistic timelines and deadlines for project tasks and phases.
- Resource Allocation:
- Plan and allocate necessary resources (labor, materials, and equipment) for project execution.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure resource availability as per project requirements.
- Monitoring and Progress Tracking:
- Track and monitor project progress against the approved schedule.
- Update the project schedule regularly to reflect current status and changes.
- Utilize earned value management (EVM) techniques to evaluate project performance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project timeline and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare contingency plans and communicate risks to project stakeholders.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with various departments (engineering, procurement, construction) to align tasks with the project plan.
- Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss project status, risks, and any adjustments required.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, highlighting project status, performance metrics, and potential risks.
- Provide stakeholders with regular updates on project milestones and completion percentages.
- Proven experience in project planning and scheduling (minimum 5 years) for EPC projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., WBS, EVM).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in Petrochemical or Oil&Gas
- Knowledge of risk management and cost control techniques.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a plus
