Aim of the position:

Sells and promotes sales of future cruises on board, in order to achieve set goals, in accordance with Company procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reaches the sales objectives to achieve set goals, in compliance with Company standards.
  • Is responsible for ensuring the respect for and correct application of the manual rules.
  • Is responsible for sales materials (catalogues, brochures, leaflets, roll up, IT devices) and restock them regularly in order to always have ready-to-use material.
  • Sells and promotes future cruises at the cruise sales counter located in pre-defined high traffic zones on board using in-house sales tools (B2E, CRM,SAPI, Confluence).
  • Participates in onboard events, excursions, gala events in order to make contacts with Guests.
  • Prepares and delivers communications (letters, virtual messages) to the Guests to promote activities and special offers to generate interest and stimulate sales.
  • Provides regular reporting (tracking activity) to the Corporate Direct Sales & Marketing Department, Tour Manager and Hotel Director of the ship, to deliver continuous feedback to each department.
  • Participates in weekly meetings with the Hotel Director, Tour Manager, Cruise Director and other managers sharing objectives and cruise information in order to organize the daily activities.
  • Participates in weekly sales calls updates with the Corporate Direct Sales & Marketing Department.
  • Leads presentations on future cruises, destinations and products in order to leverage Guests interest and foster sales opportunities.
  • Supports ship visits organized by Travel Agents, when requested, leading presentations about cruises, products and itineraries.
  • Attends to Guest complaints or addresses them to the relevant Head of Department, to provide a fast and effective solution.
  • Takes an active part in a work environment that supports a successful safety culture and is a dynamic contributor in following safety policy and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma (Travel Agent Diploma is highly appreciated)
  • Experience in tourism product selling or at least 1 contract as Tour Escort or Guest Service Operator
  • Computer literate
  • Italian knowledge C1/C2
  • English knowledge C1
  • One other european languages knowledge B2
