Altreonics is recruiting a Embedded Electronics Engineer

Your Responsibilities Design electronics for data acquisition, motor control, multi-processor communication, PC interface, and real time computation and control. Formulating of electronic subsystem specifications with accompanying verification and validation plans Formulating software specifications with accompanying verification and validation plans Software architecture design Software implementation Software and hardware integration Coordinate the release of new electronic designs with manufacturing. Document all design activities (generate design specifications, theory of operations, circuit design files, schematics, PCB layouts, test specifications, test reports, etc.) Managing suppliers to deliver subsystems and components on time and according to specification Contribute in the planning and executing of subsystem integration, vehicle integration and final system verification and validation activities

Profile:

MSc in Electronic Engineering or equavalent experience 

High speed digital design 

Embedded Microcontroller/Microprocessor design and programming (ARM, Freescale, etc.) 

High-speed memory interface (DDR, RDRAM, etc.) design 

Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog converters (board level) 

Board Level Peripheral Communications (I2C, SPI) 

Hardware design of Ethernet, 802.11x Wireless, Bluetooth, PCIe, and USB interfaces 

Hardware design experience with FPGAs (Xilinx, Altera, or Lattice) 

Spice circuit simulation 

Multi-processor communication and networking 

Use of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzer, etc.) 

Knowledge of PCB layout criteria for high speed interfaces and power regulation 

Familiar with calculating tolerance stack ups and design margins 

Design for CE certification, EMI and Environmental performance 

Experience in programming real-time concurrent systems 

Knowledge of communication prototcols (UART, CAN, TCP/IP etc) 

Knowledge of the design and implementation of embedded discretized control systems

Your preferred skills:

Programming in Python (PyQT) 

Development of basic GUIs 

Experience with modelling with Modelica 

Experience with power electronics and motor control principles (BLDC) 

Experience in following a rigorous systems development processes 

Knowledge of the application of formal methods to hybrid systems 

Excellent command of English in both verbal and written communication
