Medvind Assistanse AS is a private-owned Norwegian company that delivers personal assistance (BPA) for people with disabilities. BPA contributes to living an active and independent life with a focus on self-realization and community participation. Medvind Assistanse is the formal employer, yet the person who receives the personal assistance is deciding whom Medvind is employing, therefore our clients are highly involved in our recruiting. Under follows a description of this work opportunity written by the client:
My name is not relevant, but my condition is. The short version is that I am a 28-year-old man who has the body of an infant, but the mind of a professor (yes modesty is overrated). I have a genetic muscular disease which makes me dependent on assistance 24/7. Normally I have a team of full time employed assistants that work for me. But during the summer they have a vacation, so ergo this ad.
Who are you?
Well, you need to be a person who is open-minded. I live a life outside the definition of normality. You need to be positive, solution-oriented, trustworthy and responsible.
Further on you need to be willing to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (if you not already have been vaccinated).
During the summer I will travel inside Norway (yes I also have a holiday), so the place of work will vary, you travel with me where ever I go (further details will be given in the interview). If you are interested in nature, fishing, surfing etc. please mention it in your application.
Due to my condition, I need assistance with absolutely all tasks of life, except thinking. Everything from the neck up works fine, everything south of that is just a nuisance. So, you need to help me with everything from writing shitty ads, to help me with personal hygiene.

The employment will be through Medvind Assistanse, the salary is more than competitive, and the cost of transport to Norway, and housing during the summer will be covered.
Valid EU drivers licence category B
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and willing to follow further vaccination programs against COVID-19. Follow further vaccination according to the workplace policies.
Excellent English skills
