Major Duties In this environment, you will be part of a team of experts in the Technology division with the Civil Engineering Department. As a Certification Engineer you will report to the Head of the Section for Concrete structures and Geotechnical. Your activities will include but are not limited to: •Certification Engineer for Wind Turbine Concrete Support Structures •Depending on experience Project Management and technical coordination of different disciplines may also be relevant •Assessment of concrete support structures for wind turbines onshore and offshore (foundations and towers etc.) •Drawings and calculations approval •Shop and Site Inspections (optional) •Technical coordination and Project Management Position Qualifications Qualifications We expect that you have one or more of below qualifications: •Engineering degree (M.Sc. /B.Sc.) within Civil Engineering or equivalent •Knowledge of relevant international structural codes and standards •Experience with calculation software (Athena, Sofistik, Abaqus, Plaxis, Flac3D or similar) required •Experience with calculation of concrete structures with dynamic loading •Experience with geotechnical design of foundations with dynamic loading • Very good IT skills in the most popular computer programs •Excellent English language skills (both in writing and speaking) Personal skills We are looking for a candidate who: •Is structured and service –minded, always focusing on delivering high quality results •Is willing to travel •Is able to work independently, a self –starter, energetic •Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour •Can work under pressure and manage several on –going projects •Thrives in an international and often hectic environment –lives the DNV GL values •Wants and is able to make a difference •Is business –and customer oriented We offer a challenging and demanding position which will provide ample opportunity to professional as well as personal development.
