As a Procurement Engineer you play a visible and important role in our efforts to create a profitable and growth-oriented business. What are my responsibilities? · Implement procurement work in product and technology projects, involve our suppliers as early as possible in the process to ensure the optimal choice of processes, technology and materials from a "Total Cost" perspective · Through analysis of the purchasing volume, draw up proposals for design and process optimizations and implement improvements in co-operation with suppliers and other functions in Flow Systems · Obtain offers, select suppliers and complete contract and price negotiations · Ensure competitive prices on purchase and implement cost optimizations focusing on "Global Value Sourcing" · Supplier Management and Supplier Risk Management How do I qualify for the position? · You have a commercial education (bachelor of commerce, HD, etc.), alternatively you have an engineering education (or technically equivalent), supplemented by an economic/commercial background · You possess a good technical insight and understanding · You have excellent written and oral language skills in German and English · You are accustomed to traveling in Europe, Asia and the US, since a certain amount of travelling will occur You will experience an exciting and challenging job with a fast paced and changing work day, with many different tasks and plenty of contact, both internally and externally.
