As a consequence of our efforts to standardise and industrialise the offshore wind business, Siemens Wind Power Offshore is implementing Offshore Construction Standards in our projects globally. The Offshore Construction Standards include our best practices and are representing 80% of all projects whereas the remaining 20% may be project specific. To operationalise and implement the Offshore Construction Standards at our projects, we are currently seeking a Construction Manager. What are my responsibilities? • Create and maintain overview about new best practices within construction activities related to preassembly, installation and commissioning and completion and implement these as standards • Support and guide the project teams with standardised construction solutions in critical start-up phases within planning and execution • Serve as support and provide assistance and guidance throughout the project Specific scope of work will be divided between mobilisation, preassembly, installation and commissioning and completion and the basis for the work will be the Offshore Construction Standards which consists of our best practices and experiences. Achieving success in the role would depend on the ability to manouvre with both flexibility and firmness in complex matrix establised teams and create buy-in from the different project teams as they will be your primary customer What do I need to qualify for this job? • Educational background as e.g. Engineer, Constructing Architecht, Master Mariner • Experience as Installation Lead / site manager • Construction background and project / team management experience • Experience with offshore projects & installation vessels and experience with heavy lifting and equipment • Good networker and strong willed • EHS understanding by setting a good safety example • Commercial understanding and good communication skills In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
