Would you like to work with technical challenges from an operational point of view and see your work impacting the performance of our turbines? Join us as Electro Engineer in our electrical team in Wind Turbine Generator Systems. Together with two colleagues, you will be in charge of all electrical aspects, including Operation & Maintenance design reviews, root cause analysis, improvement initiatives, technical contract negotiations and much more. Wind Turbine Generator Systems is part of Global Operations in Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling to our locations in Denmark and abroad in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Electro Engineer, you work on our entire portfolio of wind turbines from many major suppliers. Your primary tasks include working with the main electrical components for wind turbines to ensure optimum operation and the best possible lifetime. Moreover, you contribute with technical expertise in connection with operational expenses and WTG supply contract tendering. To ensure structured and well-documented WTG operation, you work with asset integrity management systems, such as AIM, ISO55000. Technical risk registers and WTG masters form the backbone of your work on optimisation of WTG integrity. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: provide technical knowledge to the operators of the turbines secure reliability through structured and analytical work reduce the impact of failure modes by contributing to a proactive and curious working culture. Your profile You have a relevant bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar supplemented with knowledge of electro and/or electrical systems. In addition you have some experience with failure mode analysing and troubleshooting. Ideally, you have experience with wind turbines and reliability tools, preferably Six Sigma (DMAIC). As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. It is considered an advantage if you speak and write Danish as well. In addition, you are able to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external partners.
