Kamstrup is a world-leading manufacturer of solutions for smart energy and water metering with production, administration and development gathered at the headquarter in Stilling, south of Aarhus. Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are seeking a Scrum Master & Team Manager for one of our Software Development teams.



With direct reference to our Head of Software Development, Electricity, and together with the other Scrum Master & Team Managers, you will be an active part in the management team, which is leading the entire department towards efficient agile development practices and delivery of high quality software solutions. As a Scrum Master & Team Manager, you have direct people management responsibilities for the entire team of approx. 6 team members and are responsible for team performance from A to Z. The team consists of software developers and a tester, who are experts in the used technologies and the domain. This Team Manager role includes ensuring that the team is motivated and works efficiently within the scrum framework by ensuring that the scrum values are understood and enacted in your team as well as in the organization.



Scrum Master & Team Manager with focus on motivation and evolvement

As a Scrum Master, your most important task is to fulfil the role as a leader and coach your scrum team towards living the scrum values of being e.g. self-organizing and cross-functional. As Team Manager your primary responsibility is to ensure that the team is highly motivated and works efficiently towards the delivery of a high quality and shippable product every sprint.



More specific your responsibilities will be to:

  • Understand and practice scrum and agile ways of working and facilitating practices as needed
  • Support the team to create high-value products
  • Personnel management e.g. employee development, salary negotiations, recruitment, etc.
  • Participate actively in our Scrum Master Guild, counting 10 Scrum Masters
  • Participate in cross-team improvement projects, which focuses on improving the departments ways-of-working (e.g. Continuous Delivery and Quality)

Personality matters

You hold a Master’s degree within IT, Engineering or equivalent and have experience with personnel management and agile leadership and are ready to extend the traditional Scrum Master role with complete Team Management. Moreover, you have solid experience as a Scrum Master and experience in working with agile principles.

Furthermore, it is a requirement that you:

  • Have a Scrum Master certification or similar and can effectively facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review and print retrospectives
  • Understand the principles underlying agile methodologies and how to apply them in building products and in a team context
  • Know about the trends which drive agile adoption and the benefits of an iterative and incremental approach

As a person, you are self-organized and like to create results in collaboration with others. You thrive when getting the team to create great results in cooperation. At the same time, you can make a decision based on the knowledge at hand when needed, and are able to take the difficult conversation with an employee. You possess strong communicative skills which enable you to communicate decisions and information to your team and organization. Furthermore, you like to take responsibility and you wish to make a difference.



The job requires fluency in written and spoken English.
