Job offer description
  • Strategic & tactical planning, driving and management of the Business Line’s worldwide Border Control solution portfolio taking into account market needs and all relevant trends as well as breaking it down into the appropriate current and future product and solution portfolio. Prepare and present analysis results or decision memos to relevant stakeholders on management, peer or team level. This also covers the evaluation of potential strategic partnerships.

  • Continuous market, trend and competition analysis and observation as well as analysis of relevant stakeholders’ requirements (other business lines, sales, customers, end users) as a basis to define, develop & manage the product features backlog for a competitive, state-of-the-art solution offering

  • Planning and control of the entire product life cycle (PLM) for the products and solutions that are part of Veridos' Border Control Solution portfolio including orchestrating relevant product contributions of your product management peers in the business lines Verification and others

  • Set up and defend the Business Case, define the Business Model, define Make-or-Buy strategies in alignment with Head of Development, define Costing and Pricing as well as plan the necessary budgets and keep track on the development of the economic success of the product

  • Marketing of the offering internally as well as externally to customers and interested parties in close collaboration with our Business Consultant. This includes the provision of sales-supporting materials in cooperation with marketing (product brochures, etc.), the development of (regional) go-to-market strategies, definition of product / solution pricing and the market positioning in cooperation with sales, the implementation of training of the sales team and customer service, as well as product presentations for customers.

  • Supporting the Customer Delivery Organization and contributing to Proposal Management and Sales Operations regarding technology solution and solution architecture in concrete customer situations. Be in close exchange with all Solution Managers to promote and place your product into solution selling

Job requirements
  • Enthusiastic for current and new technologies as well as for cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic and international environment

  • Structured and solution-oriented thinking and acting paired with hands-on mentality

  • At least 10 years of professional experience, of which min. 5 years of experience in product management for complex, technical products and solutions made of hardware and software components.

  • High social competence, very good communication skills, as well as good presentation skills; Business fluent English is a must, German ideal, other foreign languages are an advantage

  • In-depth knowledge, experience and understanding in the development of complex solutions that comprise hardware and software for end users and integrators, in the development and evaluation of economic and commercial analyses, as well as the creation of business plans

  • Experience with government issued identities (physical ID documents as well as its digital variants), biometrics and the verification of these data, understanding customer’s operational procedures and transforming them into software Engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science studies; Additional training in business administration is a big plus or commercial training with a technical supplement.
