General duties
- Prepares and details the scope of work with respect to the project requirements;
- Checks the documents and calculations;
- Checks the material and equipment take-offs
- Perform the required calculations;
- Checks the material and equipment schedules and datasheets;
- Set-up of specifications for equipment and materials;
- Set up the specification for:
- Package units
- Installation contracts;
- Instructs follows up and coordinates the design and engineering activities;
- Prepares studies related to his discipline;
- Assists in safety studies;
- Collaborates in the preparation of proposals;
- Reports for the activities assigned to him:
- The progress
- The estimated manhours
- The required manhours to do or to complete the activities
- Identifies scopes changes;
- Attends all regular meetings with customers and subcontractors
- Follows up on all scheduled Field activities
- Pro-actively identifies customer Field requirement needs
- Reports to and consults with the Lead Engineer;
Department related duties
- Assist with set up of hazardous classification and other environmental conditions;
- Assists, Prepares, Checks and Approves:
- P&ID’s (with Process)
- instrument datasheets
- instrument calculations
- instrument requisitions
- scope of work subcontract
- control and safeguarding system specification
- batch control description
- auxiliary systems
- Analyzer Systems (not mandatory):
- analyzer requisitions
- analyzer schematics
- analyzer house specifications
- analyzer hook-ups
- FAT/SAT
- Regular Field Checks
General required skills
- Can work independently and in Team Collaboration;
- Knowledge of the procedures and E&I department standards related to his duties;
- Experienced with EPC contracts;
- Set up of man-hour control/estimates
- Experience with cost / schedule / quality control procedures
- Thorough knowledge of all the discipline related engineering and design matters
- Fluent in Dutch and English mandatory
- Proficient communication skills
- Pragmatic and motivated a must
Department required skills
- Knowledge of the requirements for control and safeguarding systems;
- Knowledge of Instrumentation systems applied to process industry (Chemicals & Energy)
- E&I Field Experience at customer site
Education/Experience
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Instrumentation and Control system Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 6 years minimum experience in Instrumentation engineering in Petrochemical or Chemical Process Industries
- Field experience is a must
