
Pharmacokineticist – PK/PD Modelling & Simulation, H. Lundbeck A/S
We are looking for an Pharmacokineticist to join our department. PK/PD Modelling & Simulation is a part of the Experimental Medicine organization which is responsible for the clinical part of the translational space between research and development including biomarker development. The position is placed at Lundbeck’s headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.
The position and your key responsibilities
You will contribute to Lundbeck research and development projects:
- Responsible for the design and data analysis/interpretation of pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) aspects of preclinical and clinical studies, with focus on the clinical part
- Be instrumental in the strategic design of the PK/PD plan, to ensure PK can support the plan and to ensure the selected PK/PD analyses are the best and most relevant for the overall clinical development plan
- Represent the department in cross-functional teams, including responsibility for PK/PD input to global clinical development plans
- Write scientific reports and prepare documents for PK/PD-related sections in Investigator Brochures, study reports, manuscripts, summaries for regulatory authorities, INDs and BLAs
- Interpret preclinical PK data to inform human dose projections

Qualifications
Our preferred candidate would hold the following personal and professional qualifications:
- BS or MS (at least 2-3 years’ experience from industry) or PhD, in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical science, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or related disciplines is required
- A basic physiological understanding to facility collaborations with clinical colleagues
- Strong research background and interest in understanding PK data in the context of complex biology
- Working knowledge of PK/PD software (e.g., WinNonlin, NONMEM, R, MATLAB etc.) and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are required
- Proven ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English
- Excellence in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
- Scientifically minded, curios and with an innovative mindset
