Electrical Fitter

Railtechniek van Herwijnen B.V. is one of the market leaders in the development, manufacturing and installation of overhead and floor conveyor systems. 70% of our projects are for international customers, for example Scania, Audi, Cannondale, Gazelle and Palfinger, at various locations throughout Europe.

Currently we are looking for Electrical Fitters for the installation of our conveyors at project locations within the EU.

After the mechanical fitters have built up the construction on location, as an Electrical your job is to install the electrical components. In between projects you work on the assembly of the electrical switch cabinet and complementary parts.



Main responsibilities:

• Install electrical equipment and wiring according to the blueprints and installation manuals;
• Installation of the electrical switch cabinet;
• Stay in contact with the project leader and service department.

• A Electrical Fitter/Electrotechnical certificate, or practical work experience in a similar work environment.
• Effective English reading and communication skills (Knowledge of the Dutch, German or French language is an advantage).
• Willing to work on project locations throughout the EU.
• Able to follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures.
• Able to work well in a team.
• You are a EU citizen and permitted to work in the Netherlands, or already in possession of a work permit which enables you to work in the Netherlands. 

• A valid driving license is a plus.
• A forklift- and SCC basic certificate are a nice to have, but not a must.

• Special conditions apply for working abroad (outside NL) like overtime hours and fees for each day. Therefore, for example you can earn up to twice as much as your monthly salary depending on the duration of the project.
• The company takes care of all the expenses on location; like transportation, your stay in a hotel and consumptions.
• When needed, the company can also provide permanent accommodation nearby our office in Tiel, the Netherlands.
