Responsibilities:

 

  • performing data collection, collation, validation and analysis activities, including verifying data quality, for the scientific assessment;
  • implementing tools for data collection (or integration) and analysis to support the work of units, panels, working groups and the scientific committee;
  • assisting data providers for the delivery of data to the organization;
  • supporting the development of a standardised framework for data management and analysis (process and procedures);
  • supporting the development and maintenance of suitable technical environments for hosting the data management and analysis framework;
  • defining, implementing and maintaining data management processes within the remit of his/her area of knowledge;
  • managing contracts and procurements, including monitoring procedures.

Assignment: initial contract 2 months, with possibility of extensions. Expected duration of assignment 6 months.

Salary: approx. €2400 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible  for the remaining days.

Anforderungen an die Stelle

Skills  required:

 

  • excellent knowledge of english (at least c1 level);
  • at least 2 years of experience in evidence and data collection, management and statistical analysis in any of the following areas: chemistry, biology/environmental sciences, nutrition, food technology, engineering, maths and physics;
  • experience in the use of statistical software and code development in r, python, knime or in sas;
  • experience in writing scientific and/or technical documents (e.g. scientific publications, reports, project plans and reports, guidance documents);
  • experience in and knowledge of chemical data collection and pesticides residues would be considered an asset;
  • behavioural competencies: attention to details ; work with others ; focus on stakeholder needs ; analysis and problem solving ; act with ethics and integrity.
