Nordic Working
About this event
EURES in the Netherlands is proud to present the next edition of the Nordic Working European Job Day (EJD) which will take place in October 2013. The Nordic Working EJD is a recruitment event where jobseekers from the Netherlands, municipalities, and companies from Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden), Finland, and Iceland can meet and make contact.
If you’re a jobseeker thinking about living and working in one of the countries listed above then the Nordic Working EJD could be precisely what you need! This innovative EURES event will enable you to come face-to-face with municipalities and companies interested in YOU! EURES Advisers will be on hand to provide you with information and consultations on living and working in their respective countries. Employment professionals will also be in attendance to give informative presentations on the topic of European mobility.
If you’re an employer you will be able to meet hundreds of qualified jobseekers actively looking for jobs in your sector. And if you represent a municipality looking to attract European talent to your area then the Nordic Working EJD is your chance to get in contact with enterprising people interested in European mobility.
Make sure to take part in the Nordic Working EJD in October this year to give your employment ambitions a significant boost!
How to attend
“Nordic Working 7” gathers employers and EURES Advisers from Scandinavia, Finland and Iceland to provide information and advice to jobseekers about finding a job and living and working in the above mentioned countries and to conduct interviews via chat sessions. Besides that, there will be a (live) forum with field experts.
Visitor?
- Check the list of exhibitors that will be participating in the online event (tick the “online” box on the left hand side) and verify their online availability times. During the event, you will be able to chat with them by clicking the “chat now” button. Make sure you are logged into the website when you start a chat session, so that your CV information will be automatically passed on to the person you are chatting with.
- Browse through the programme of presentations that will be broadcast live. You will also be able to replay them after the event.
- Browse through the job offers and bookmark the ones you are interested in and which fit your profile (by clicking the “Apply” button). This means that the exhibitor (either an employer or a EURES Adviser) will be able to consult your CV up to 3 months after the event – and maybe, who knows, invite you for an interview.
- Please bear in mind that you will only be able to apply/bookmark a job vacancy if you’re registered on the website as a Visitor.
- Please note that chat sessions cannot be pre-booked, you will be placed in a waiting queue until the employer or EURES Adviser is available to start the chat.

But you might ask:
- Why should I take part?
- What can I expect?
- How will it work?
- What tools will I have to use?
- What are the costs to take part?
- What can EURES offer me?
- Where do I sign up?
During this event you will be able to get in contact with 20 companies and 10 municipalities that are interested in you!
Besides general employment opportunities, this year there will be a specific focus on recruitment for jobs in the healthcare sector, particularly specialists e.g. psychiatrists and rheumatologists.
In Norway and Sweden, in particular, there are municipalities that would welcome potential inhabitants, especially people who would like to start their own businesses or buy a business and give the local economy a boost.
EURES Advisers from these countries will be online to give you information and advice about living and working in their countries.
Experienced professionals who have made the move north and are experts in the Scandinavian, Finnish and Icelandic labour markets will give presentations on the subject of European mobility. They will share their personal experiences on things like (affordable) housing and schools for your children. They will also point out the potential pitfalls that are sometimes overlooked but have to be considered when emigrating.
To take part in this free event, you only need a computer with a soundcard, if possible, a webcam and access to the internet.
Until 10 October, you can ‘visit’ the participating employers online and view their company profiles and vacancies. Besides that, you can visit the websites of the participating municipalities and find out what they can offer potential inhabitants.
Did you find any interesting vacancies or possible employment opportunities? Do you have specific questions? Then go to REGISTER NOW (free of charge)!
By uploading your CV you can participate in the chat sessions and forum discussions on 10 October from 14.00 until 20.00.
(Mind, to make the best chance to have a chat with an employer or a representative of a municipality, have your CV uploaded before 21 September.)

By taking part in the Nordic Working 7 European Job Day, you will be able to ‘meet’ hundreds of qualified jobseekers actively looking for jobs in your sector.
Are you representing a municipality and interested in attracting potential inhabitants? Here’s your chance to get in contact with enterprising Dutch citizens looking to work in your country.
In 2012, over 6000 people visited the website on the day itself and 130 visitors chatted with participating companies and representatives from the various municipalities.
- You will be able to customize your page according to your needs, publish your company profile (including the option to add videos) and recruitment needs, and any other offers you might have.
- Selling yourself is the keyword here.
- Gather applications beforehand, either screened (with the help of a EURES Adviser) or not.
You need to have a computer with a soundcard and possibly a webcam.
Depending on the amount of people that would like to chat with you, we advise that you have at least two employees available for the chat sessions on the day.
If you would prefer not to participate in the online interviews / chats but would still like to promote your company / municipality vacancies that, too, is possible. You can then follow-up the interest in your vacancies according to your own recruitment procedures.
EURES Advisers in your country will contact you to discuss how to be of service and to give support in any way you should need it.
Take part in this unique event on 10 October, 2013 and give your recruitment options a boost.
